A Latvian company, not an anonymous website. Real people who translate and verify Scandinavian job listings for Baltic workers.
Who we are
BalticWorkers Check is a project by SIA GELVUA, registered in Riga, Latvia. Managing director: Šakro Toliašvili.
We are not a recruitment agency and not an intermediary. We display vacancies already published on official government databases — Arbeidsplassen (NAV, Norway) and Platsbanken (Arbetsförmedlingen, Sweden) — and translate their conditions into languages understood by workers from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.
Why
A person from the Baltics moving to work in Scandinavia usually doesn't know three things: what they are legally entitled to be paid, who covers housing and travel, and who their employer actually is. An ad in Swedish or Norwegian rarely answers these questions — it is written for locals who don't need to relocate.
We collect what is known and honestly flag what isn't.
What we don't do
- We do not charge job seekers — not for access to listings, not for anything else. This is both our principle and a requirement of Latvian law governing employment services.
- We do not submit applications on your behalf — you apply yourself, on the source's official site.
- We do not sell listing placements to job seekers and do not promise employment.
- We do not collect or store your personal data beyond what you provide yourself when subscribing to alerts.
